50 Instances of Brilliance
50 Instances of Brilliance: Fifty days, fifty different sharks...
An assignment for Creative Thinking: Problem-Solving. To hopefully be a learning experience, not just for myself, but for anyone who reads this.

Night Lights
Played around with glowing eggs...
Another attempt; shape not so great, but the colours turned out well...

Cigarlitter
cig·ar·lit·ter/ˌsigərlitər/
noun: a combination of the words cigarette and litter that I just made up.
Apparently, cigarette butts are the most littered object in the world. Quite depressing really; such a small object, but some 4.5 trillion are discarded annually.
I am not a smoker, but I know many people who do. I'm certain a lot of their cigarette butts just get thrown onto the ground... Would it be wrong for me to stop them? I don't think it would be out of line...
Anyway, I used my dad's cigarette butts from the picture above to make the guy shown below.
I've picked up other people's litter before. I have even picked up a few cigarette butts (washed my hands after, of course). If only people didn't throw them on the ground in the first place.
I have a friend whose dog died from cancer because of eating cigarette butts that were thrown onto the lawn by one of the relatives. One could argue the dog could have been better trained or better watched over, but I think it is a lot easier to control the actions of our own than the actions of others.
So, let's save a dog and stop cigarlittering! And littering, in general!

SKITTLES!
I most definitely have a problem with sugar.
Made with one full pack of Skittles, the Riddles variety.
A Catshark's Diet
Cat... shark.
Cat... food.
Not quite shaped like a catshark... at all.
I didn't feel like cleaning it up that night, and this is how I found it the next day.

Water Droplets
Finger and condensation on window were used.

We wouldn't have condensation on our windows, if we didn't have oxygen.
We wouldn't have most of our oxygen, if we didn't have plankton.
We wouldn't have plankton, if our fish ate them all.
Our fish would eat them all, if we didn't have sharks to eat them and regulate the populations.
Close-up:
Sharks are friends...

Not quite as effective as the original saying "Fish are friends, not food!"
Not sure if it makes me a hypocrite for being someone completely against the killing of sharks, but likes sushi. Personally, I think it's different, but I'm sure there are people who don't think so. Sorry if I offend any of them...
Carved from salmon. I'm certain there is actually shark sushi/sashimi somewhere out there. Breaks my heart.
Push Pins!
Just did some quick researching to double check the name of these bad boys, and I found out they were invented in 1903! Who would have thought they've been around for so long?
As the title says, push pins on a cork board. I had a bunch of extra ones being unused so I rearranged them. Actually harder than it seems; you have to position them right, making sure they angle straight up. Somewhat hard on the fingers too, haha!
Foiled.
Surprised I managed to get a good cut-out on the first try. Exacto knife and chocolate wrapper used.
Pencil to reference size.
Save the cute and fluffy!
What about saving the kings of the sea?
If you ask someone to name a few endangered species, most people will say pandas, tigers, polar bears, and all those other cute and fluffy creatures. Not many people, if any, will mention sharks. No one thinks that the ferocious and scary "man-killers" need saving.

I love clothespins.
During my high school years, I developed this odd love for clothespins. It originated when I found out about The ClothesPIN Game, which simply involves clipping clothespins on people without them noticing to earn points.
(If you want to learn more about this game, click here!)
Since then, I've had a whole bunch of clothespins clipped to various things in my room, so I thought I'd put them to good use!
This was actually quite difficult... It might have been easier to take some apart for certain areas of the shark, but I wanted to keep them true to their shape. Plus, I realized I didn't have as many as I thought I did...
Like clothespins, sharks are beautiful as well. Too bad most people are too blinded by fear to realize...
